21

And just like that, I'm 21!
It is kind of strange because this is the first birthday that I've had that I actually feel older.
Must have to do with the fact that I could hand my ID to the bouncer at a bar knowing that I was finally able to legally drink!

Well this was supposed to be a picture of me giving my ID to the bouncer. I guess this blurry picture had some indication of how the rest of my night would go. ;)

My first shot  of the night was a red headed slut courtesy of my cousin Ryan. I cannot express enough how happy I am he agreed to come out with me! He stuck by me the whole night; we drank, we danced, I may have stolen his beer, and we had an awesome time.

This is my amazing roommate Toni! She was sweet enough to be the DD and let me stay at her house that night! I am so happy she came out with me (and not just for those reasons)! I spent a little over a year being jealous every time she got all dolled up to go out, and I just had to sit at home, haha. It was so nice to finally be able to go out together! Also a big thank you to her boyfriend Ben who came out with us!

And this lovely girl makes yet another appearance on this blog. Not only did she buy the top I wore, but she also did my hair! From slip n' slides to shots, this girl is seriously my best friend. I am going to be SO sad when she moves to Texas in July.

And this, my friends, is the amazing Beca! We have known each other since high school and were roommates our freshman year of college! Then she got lame and left UofA to go to ASU, but I know she regrets the decision so I forgive her. ;) Again, so happy she came out! It was so nice to be reunited on such an amazing night. :)

I came home to this the morning of my birthday. Old warm beer cans and a half full bottle of Smirnoff from my siblings, haha! And they had these fancy 21's hanging up around the whole kitchen. My parents also got me flowers, which were so beautiful that of course I don't have a picture of them...whoops!

Later that day I went out to eat with my family at Red Robin. My grandparents and almost all my aunts and uncles on my dad's side came out to celebrate with me! It was really awesome to have so much of my family there.

Not that great of a picture, and only half of the people who came, but hey, you get the gist!

Since Dillon is in Germany now I wasn't able to spend my birthday with him. When I was in Colorado a few weekends ago he bought me sandals and a wallet as early birthday presents, and he also wrote me the nicest letter ever that I opened and read on my birthday. In it he reminded me that even though I am now 21, we actually  had our first legal drinks together in Canada, and also wrote down 21 things he loves about me. It was sad to not be able to spend such a special day with him, but I would say he definitely made up for it. :)
